Rockville European Auto Repair

I have a rusting '88 325iX that I buy again in repair bills every year, but I won't get rid of it despite what my wife says. Stefan and Oscar are both awesome to work with and the shop really does work with you to only do what is needed and at a fair price. I have never ever felt that they were taking advantage of me. They also handle newer BMWs just fine as well; my wife's 2006 325xi wagon has been in for routine maintenance with never an issue.As one other commenter mentioned, sometimes the work takes longer than expected. I definitely had that problem once, but on another occasion they bumped my car to the front of the queue due to a personal time crunch. I think it all works out and I'd rather have them do the work slowly and methodically rather than having to bring the car back because something was overlooked.As a bonus they have a discount for BMW CCA members, and you can get an additional couple percent off if you write them a check as opposed to paying with a credit card.Given the horrendous labor rate at the dealers and the hit-or-miss nature of other independents in the area, I can't recommend Excluservice enough.

I've taken my beloved M3s to these guys on numerous occasions, to include an engine swap in my AAW S/C 2002. Great service, always answer questions clearly and logically. They also recently sold a car for me on consignment, greatly reducing the effort and time I would have had to spend and got a fantastic price for it. Stephane, the GM, is a fantastic, no BS guy. ++js;

Short story: I took my 2002 745LI to this shop.... Airbag sensor came on so i had to see what the problem was... Car is in great shape for 90k miles... They called me and said it was just a loose sensor... Reset the sensor.... No - charge.... 97k miles and light has not come back on since.We all know what they could have done to me. They could have said anything... Sold me for work that may not have been needed etc. the mechanics are all veterans in the industry... All have worked for Dealers for years that would have handled this differently because the dealers mechanics have a different attitude with the car owner. I often talk with the mechanic that has worked on my car over the years to hear reasons a certain choice to proceed on a certain repair or not yet to repair an item. The hourly rate is 107.00 or 109.00 .. Somewhere between those two numbers.... Hourly rate at ROCKVILLE BMW (Old VOB) is over 170.00Sure i have spend money from time to time but why would i ever take the car to a Dealer if i have this level service. New owner as of January 2013... It will be interesting to see if they keep the same culture. Stepfen (sp?), the past head service writer bought it from the old owner. He has always been a good guy from my past experience and the guy who handled the sensor story i mentioned happened a year ago with me. Five Stars is a no-brainer here but we will see going forward. By the way, i just dropped my car off this morning and they drove me back to my house to use a extra car i have to drive as they check out my car for another problem. Saved me from getting rental or having my wife pick me up and bring me home. Their off to a good start are my thoughts... Also i think that any shop with a painted floor that is always spotless runs a clean operation and is a good sign. Dave Kane - 20+ year customer but will be watching how they handle things with new owner.

Honest, fair, and knowledgeable. I brought my 1999 E36 M3 in for some strut work and they got it done fast and correct. My car has a modified racing suspension with aftermarket parts, which they had no problem working with. The experienced mechanics combined with the friendly and professional staff makes this a place I highly recommend, I'd I'm a *really* picky person!

Great. I couldn't say it's the best indy shop in the area. Because I didn't go anywhere else. But I'm totally satisfied by the job they've done. The communication is great. They'll explain what they'll do and what they can do in detail. Better than in the dealer. So I'm thinking it's a good idea to get a consultant from them even if you want to buy a new bmw.
